| Happy Spring;
Here at Toddy Thomas there have been a lot of things going on over the past month. There was a fundraiser for the PTO with lots of students who raised pledges for walking the track and there was a Pancake breakfast afterwards. We are working with Fortuna district, meetings with teachers, staff and administration getting ready for next years unification. The 8th grade parents have been meeting and are doing a great job planning the trip and graduation. Site Council will be sending out a Parent Survey in April, I hope you will take the time to give us your opinion and help us to continue to improve Toddy Thomas.
Our remodel will be starting very soon, rooms 2-5 will be packed up and classes will be relocated to the portables, by mid April. We have done this so we can get started with the remodel by May 1st, therefore-hopefully we will not have to miss any vacation time next year.
We are gearing up for STAR testing, teachers are already starting to review for the test and have students set goals for their test scores. STAR testing will be May 14-18 with make-ups the next week. Please have your students attend school for everyday of testing, it is extremely important.
The Carnival will be at Ambrosini this year on Friday May 18th. I hope everyone will put this on your calendar and plan on attending. As usual I will be in the dunk tank ... COLD!
OPEN house will be on April 26th, more will be coming on this later, keep your eyes open for a flyer.
8th grade parents-PLEASE we need pictures of your child for the video show after graduation, it will be very sad if your child is not included. Bring them to the Toddy office ASAP.
Spring pictures will be on April 17th, they will be class homeroom pictures only.
Fourth quarter is almost here and many students are having some difficulties with their grades, please check with the teachers if you are concerned about your child's grades.
Parents are always welcome at Toddy, we are always short at lunch and break time, so if you would like to volunteer, come on in and we will set you up.
Thank you to all the parents who have come to Toddy to volunteer or to help with fundraiser. I know you are busy too, so your time is appreciated.
